Aside from the typical gambling and activities on the LV Strip, I think it’d be fun to get away from the down town excitement and do something normal. They’ve got some awesome stuff that is not so touristy, such as Las Vegas golf. Dave wants to go golfing, although I’ve never been. The Mindful Living online television network was created by Dr. Kathleen Hall, a lifestyle expert in stress and work/life balance, The network shows viewers how to bring meaning to their lives and live mindfully. What is mindful living? Essentially, it means to wake up and simply pay attention to your life and the things you do. Becoming stressed and overworked is easy to do, but learning to control your life can help take the tension out of it.

This is something that a lot of people could probably take to heart. As Americans we are always on the go and rarely take the time out to enjoy our lives without the stress and feeling overwhelmed with how things are going. Even when on vacation, it’s rare when people leave all their work behind. I know I take my laptop with me! It’s hard to disconnect. What if we could all live a little more mindfully and take in how beautiful life really is?

I bought some prints off of Etsy a few weeks ago when I was in my home decorating kick and once they arrived, it dawned on me that I will either have to get them done at a custom picture framing place, or try to matte and frame them myself.  They are 8×10 prints, but don’t take up the whole paper, and I want to make them appear bigger on the wall, so I’m thinking that matting them in complementing colors and then putting them in nice black frames will give the effect that I want.  I know it’s not hard, but I’ve never done it before and don’t want to mess anything up! lol

Growing up, I could never get any of the neat little trinkets like personalized pens from the dollar store. Thanks to my mom for spelling my name differently, those personalized items were never an option for me. I remember a few times I would buy the ones that simply said “Tiffany” on them…just because I wanted something with my name on it that badly…even if it WAS spelled wrong. (My name is spelled Tiffanie.) It’s funny, but I always think about that when I’m contemplating names for my future children…lol. I’m not saying that it’s this huge factor…but it always crosses my mine, “Will they be able to get the stationary or pens or toys with their name on them?” I know I was always disappointed when I could never find my name.
