We went and watched fireworks last night (yes, on the 5th) up in Bay City and they were pretty awesome! We met up with Will and his family a bit before dark and just sat around talking and enjoying the weather. Then right before it was time for the fireworks to start, we went up on top of this bar that Will’s dad knows the owner of. It was a pretty tall building so it offered a spectacular view! Very nice. I think I got some good pictures with my digital camera, but I haven’t uploaded them to my computer yet. I messed around with a lot of the manual settings, which I’m not good at, and hopefully SOME of them turned out ok. The only bad thing was the the roof was all tar and I was kneeling down to adjust camera settings and my jeans got all blackened up, as well as my hands. Ick.
After the fireworks we went and hung out at Will’s for a while (’til like 1:30 in the morning, haha) and I borrowed some DVDs from him, as well as “Fight Clut” (the book). The DVDs I borrowed are: Azumi, Mirrormask, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and 28 Weeks Later. So yeah, it was a good night!
Dave had to be up this morning to run a call for work and had to be there by 9. I woke up at 8:39 and he was still sleeping! I was like, “Dave…you have to be there in 20 minutes!” Luckily he made it on time! He’s on his way home now, so I’m thinking we’ll probably go back to sleep. I’m tired because I got up when he did so that I could go buy the Sunday paper and pick up some packaging tape and bubble mailers from the dollar store. I’ve already gotten rid of 3 books on Paper Back Swap which is kind of cool. That means I’ve got a few credits to go book “shopping”!
